This Is The Day...

...that the Lord hath made, and I will rejoice in it! This is the day we say our vows, we pledge our commitment, we begin a journey. This is the day we seek the Lord's blessing upon our marriage. Truly, this day is God's provision and the person God's precious blessing.

Nat King Cole could have been Singaporean, the fact that he loved acronyms and decided to give more meaning to the word 'LOVE'. I'm however strongly against how love is referred to in the song as a 'game for two'. How belittling to call it that. Should we not take love more seriously, with more ardent commitment than a mere game that in the end, separates the winners from the losers. In love, there should always be winners! But love is indeed more than just the inter-weaving of two people's hearts and lives. For my soon-to-be-bride and I, love is a triangular affair. There is a third party - our Heavenly Father or God. God is the integral third party Who's brought us together and He'll be the One from Whom we'll continue to learn more about how to love as He first loved us.
