Quarterly MEport

31st March 2006, Singapore - Barely hours into the second quarter of 2006, a self-imposed deadline befalls the editor of The NewsStan(d). The deadline demands a quarterly report of all transactions and transpirations for the 3-month period beginning 1st January 2006.

Agapella - We're bigger (hello to Amanda, Shi Huei, Yu Hsien & Colin), better and begging to do our first big gig on Good Friday on 14th April.
Bowling - Achieved my highest ever pinfall of 231 on 19th March.
Coffee - I have maintained my caffeine fixes by downing about one cup daily.
Dance - It remains a quiet hope within to one day put on my dancing shoes and pick up more steps (at least this time, I needn't worry about a dance partner).
Eating - No new food allergies detected in the last ninty days, neither has there been a quick-fix formula to gaining weight.
Friends - No shortage of fabulous ones, it's just the time that seems insufficient. (Take a number if you're reading this!)
GOD - He's not gone anywhere; if He's distant, I've strayed a little off track but have got the compass in hand.
Health - No sick leave in the last 3 months. Certified clean bill of health but excused IPPT because of PES C2 status.
Ichabod - Nope! Don't want it taken away from me.
Jorryn - Added to Singapore's population by one on 7th March! Congrats to cousin Joe & Marina!
Kids - None of mine (yet), but thank God for Glen, Samuel & Justin doing well in SS.
Lovely - An apt adjective to describe the first quarter.
Muffin - You haven't tried muffins till you've sunk your teeth into those of Chocolat 'N Spice. Ain't no mountain high enough to keep me away from the humble stall at Shunfu hawker centre. For exact address, email the editor.
Norway - A dream destination just waiting to happen.
O - The second half of "Kopi" when you want it strong.
Parents - I fight for attention now that they have hundreds of kids between them. (Disclaimer: Last we checked, the editor's parents are humans, not rabbits)
Quantity - Something you have been wanting more of on this site in the last few months, but the supply of blog entries were left wanting. The editor takes full responsibility for the the meagre entries and vows to increase his articles.
Rose - A flower you don't buy (ever!) on Valentine's Day. Someone once said, "Save the money and buy me roses four times a year!"
alt. meaning - My boss 3 levels up.
Sydney - Where WM & Wen are and where the editor may be posted to in May. *fingers crossed*
Tucson - We traded in our Subaru Legacy for a Hyundai in Jan.
Uncle - A title the editor still finds hard to accept from his peers' children. "Why won't they call him kor-kor?!"
Voice - Without which the editor loses his job.
Wassup - Everyone wants to know.
X-men - Ok, so I got stuck with 'x'. Now you know I'm not an Invincible wordsmith. :P
Yesterday - When deadlines happen and you miss it, but the editor vouches innocence and all charges of responsibilities were dutifully carried out in good order and delivery from Jan to March 2006.
Zzz - Sleep patterns remain constant. Typical eye-shut time: 11.30pm. Typical eye-opening time: 7.15am. Times do not take into account weekend sleep-ins.

The above report is deemed accurate at the time of publishing and due to the merciful acts of God. The editor is not held accountable for anything that may change for the second quarter of 2006.
