Right up there...Somewhere

I apologise that this newssstand hasn't been churning out more regular posts at greater frequency than most others. However I'm most encouraged that you check back every now and again to figure out what's been up with me. If no new post surfaces for some time, you can safely assume I'm (pre)occupied with something/s and will get down to blogging the first chance I get or when my conscience pricks me that there are people like you who care to know how I'm doing. So if not for the thunderstorm beyond my window pane, I would be whacking balls with my colleagues on the tennis court. Wednesday nights are almost exclusively reserved for my weekly game. So the fact that it's raining, here I am blogging.

I flew into Perth last month to witness Dorcas' convocation ceremony at UWA. It was a happy occasion but I was somewhat under the weather for most of the four days. I've seen healthier times Down Under. But this last trip allowed me to catch up with Jonathan (my brudder) who's now at ECU. He's doing well and fitting in nicely. So till we meet again in August bro! (Jon's in pink...groovy)

The last couple of weeks have been crazy. I was sneezing and heaving alot thanks to the move from Holland to way up north in Sembawang. Had to pack everything into boxes which really got the dust excited and dancing. Then the lugging and hoisting of boxes of belongings and some furniture to their new home. Having gotten used to the centrality of Holland, travelling to and from my new home (albeit till Sept) has made me wonder if it's more convenient to work and shop in JB! Sembawang's way too far up north and I'm glad post-wedding, I'll come down south and make Braddell my next temporary community. Thereafter, who knows where we'll go.

Had a most blessed time over Easter. Had been a while since I attended the combined churches' Sunrise Service at MacRitchie reservoir and this year, I was blessed to have my fiance with me for this victorious event that fully sets my faith apart from all others. Who can boast of a God who died and resurrected rather than to die, remain dead and just leave behind a legacy or wise words? Nothing beats a God who is very much alive and real!

Wedding preps are slowing taking shape again after a lull the last few months, but before we get caught by the fleeting of time, we've gotten underway in padding down some matters. If you want to volunteer to help out in some way, we're all ears as it's going to be a mega affair. Weddings are very likely a couple's biggest project ever that they'll ever have to jointly spearhead and conceptualise. Ok, maybe next to parenting!
